Watch this space for The Mildred Trust Community Garden space!

Exciting News!!

The ‘Sprout Squad’ is on its way! Working with Ivy Court Surgery we’ve been lucky enough to secure a space to create a community garden with children and young people.

The space will encompass the principles of eco-therapy aiming to improve mental health and well-being by offering children and young people the chance to get involved in a range of conservation, plant growing and gardening tasks.

In keeping with The Mildred Trusts approach to the environment, our goal is to work with nature, encouraging biodiversity, creating a space that each year requires less effort to maintain and becomes more fertile.

If you’d like to volunteer to be part of this project or make a donation, please contact info@themildredtrust.org

The Sprout Squad Garden works are almost complete! We’d like to say a huge thank you to Cllr Guy Pullen, Peter from British Gypsum, Filcris Ltd, Burfield House, Tenterden Town Council, Mizannah Art and The Mrs Smith and Mount Trust for their generous donations, volunteering, funding and support. Special thanks also to Gemma and Andy for all their hard work in helping to develop the site and for delivering fantastic free workshops. Together with our community we’ve helped create a wonderful space where children and families can play, learn, grow, and enjoy the outdoors. 🌱🌻💚
